Malta is located close to Sicily and north Africa. With an exceptional natural enironment, Malta offers a good mix of British and Italian culture.

1. Ggantija Temples
Malta has a lot of Temples. The one of Ggantja in Gozo is the one most visited.
These temples are older than the pyramids of Egypt, dating 3600 years BC, the site has stones up to 6 meters high and one weighing 50 tons. That’s why it is necessarily inscribed on the World Heritage List.
2. Hal Saflieni’s Hypogeum
Also listed by UNESCO, this time to the east of the capital, is the Hal Saflieni Hypogeum, another exceptional archaeological site.
3. Saint John’s Co-cathedral
Built in 1573, St John’s Co-cathedral is the most majestic religious building on the island of Malta. The Co-cathedral of Saint John is located in the heart of Valletta which is a major Maltese tourist attraction. This Cathedral is the work of the architect Girolamo Cassar and the Italian painter Mattia Preti for the decoration.
4. Paola’s Hypogeum
Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Paola Hypogeum is the main tourist attraction on the island and THE must-see in Malta. Built around 2,500 BC, the Paola Hypogeum is the oldest prehistoric underground temple discovered in the World.

1. La Blue Grotto

This is one of the things you should definitely check on your travel list before visiting Malta. 3. The village of Marsaxlokk
